I focus on two things in my work. Firstly, I love empowering individuals to make informed career decisions and see them take control of their own careers, and secondly, I love finding great talent to join organisations, where I know that both the candidate and organisation will gain long-term benefits from their interaction. And these two passions lie firmly at the heart of Katie Adler Consulting.
Established in 2011, the business has evolved organically to deliver Career Coaching and Job Search services to individuals, and bespoke senior level hiring for client organisations.
Coaching clients range from school students needing additional help selecting subjects, tertiary courses and identifying career options, middle managers eager to secure their next challenge, through to senior leaders looking for career transition strategies. Irrespective of your career stage, all clients share a desire to effectively identify their next career goals and need help developing strategies and skills to enable them to achieve these goals.
My own experience comes from global telco and professional services, in-house consulting, and one-on-one coaching. I have worked with Russell Reynolds Associates in Melbourne, and TMP Worldwide & Whitehead Mann in London on senior leadership hiring projects. More recently I spent two years with a leading ASX listed tech company as an in-house consultant, and have worked extensively with a range of individual clients over the years seeking career coaching.
I am a qualified career practitioner, holding Professional membership of the CDAA – Australia’s leading and national career association, and hold other academic qualifications. I am accredited in several career assessment tools including the Strong Interest Inventory, the Morrisby Online Report (used by many Australian schools), Universal Hierarchy of Motivation and Pario Professional (PRISM) (used in the hiring process).
